Tomek earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from Jagiell University in Krakow, Poland in 2014. The focus of his dissertation was imaging chemical changes within atherosclerotic plaques during disease progression, treatment, and the influence of a specific diet. Tomek will focus on applying the newly developed QCL imaging system to perform fast prostate cancer histopathology.
He joined the Bhargava group as a Beckman Institute Fellow in 2014.
